Macmillan Cancer Support
“It was essential for us to continue to build a positive image of door-to-door with other non-fundraising departments within Macmillan as this was the first time a national campaign of this kind had been initiated by the organisation.
Home was instrumental in providing us with a full breakdown of postcode sectors in advance of the launch – so all key stakeholders within Macmillan were aware of the activity and had access to relevant information to provide excellent customer service to any queries received.
Home was also key to ensuring the fundraisers’ approach matched the messaging throughout our other recruitment activities.
Regular training sessions with fundraisers focused on the supporter journey so that each fundraiser could clearly explain what each individual donor would receive at the point of sign up. The work at the doorstep was then positively reinforced by Home’s welcome calling programme – where callers thanked donors for their regular gift and communicated how Macmillan would continue to update them through regular updates both online and off.
